Rob McAllister - 1993 Nissan 240sx

I was hooked on cars from the moment I got behind the wheel. The old Honda civic I inhereted from my father bore the brunt of my early aspirations under the hood. After a few blown motors and many miles traveled, I was ready for something new. I found my first 240 rotting away in a local kids backyard. The car never made it to the track, but something about driving it stuck with me. After rolling a jeep while sliding it in a wet field, I knew it was time for another 240. I picked up a coupe and hit the track hard. Clubloose events became the best part of the month as
I worked to hone my skills. I met up with my old friend Damien who was already deeply immersed in the scene and started to help out at Drift

Brigade demo's. Before I knew it I was traveling around the country with the team setting states a blaze with tire smoke. This only fueled the fire, pushing me to get more involved. I found

myself pulling motors in the dead of night, sleeping less and driving more. I became addicted to tires smoke, and Drift Brigade was just what the doctor ordered.

Tony Martin - 1989 Nissan Silvia

As head mechanic, pit cheif and a couple of other titles we can't go into on his personal page, Tony is a one mand band of sorts. He spends most of his days building cars at Import Intelligence Inc. and wrenching on his 1989 Silvia. The car is one of a kind here in the states and puts down a mild but reliable 330whp to get the job done. Tony has been drifting for 4 years now. He started in a left hand drive 240sx and made the switch to the Silvia after he crashed it into a light pole drifting it. At the time

the car belonged to Import Intelligence and was currently for sale. He took some of the goodies off the old car, sold the

240sx and built this mild looking "sleeper" car. Tony has always had the go big or go home attitude and that what drives him to be where he is today.

Evan Gray- 1991 Nissan 240sx

Ever since I was young I always enjoyed tinkering. It started early on, buying massive amounts of legos, throwing away the instruction manual and building ridiculous spaceships and stuff. My first adrenaline-fueled addiction was BMX bikes. Buying a nice bike and just riding it to school and back wasn't enough. I always had to find taller jumps, push my machine to its breaking point and then go farther. My hobbies always seemed to be just out of reach of my paycheck, but I'd find a way to get what I needed to make it work. Until I started working on cars though, I had no idea just how far my need to go fast and be unique could take me.
After owning a Honda and having fun w/ the basic mods, I realized I needed to get a platform with serious potential. This came to me in the form of a '91 240 coupe that a co-worker had blown up on the highway. After getting my hands on the rolling shell and researching the more practical engine solutions available, I decided to source an sr20 swap since it nearly doubled the stock power output of the car and maintained reliability

My search for a local shop to do the swap led me to Damien, who was willing to take on the job for a reasonable price. After completing the swap, I decided to build the car for autocross. This appealed to me because it was local, accessible and involved technical driving. I'd seen drifting, but was hesitant because I didn't want to put my freshly built investment through so much abuse... Then I went to a parking lot one day, got sideways and changed my mind completely. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was the most fun I'd had with my clothes on and

I decided I needed more. Since then, keeping my car up to snuff, finding cheap tires and improving my technique have really been my only reasons for holding a steady job.

The season and a half that I've been regularly attending events have been nothing but fun and I've managed to meet some awesome people. The drifting scene is much different from that of any other type of motorsport. The people are all way friendlier and everyone just wants to help each other progress and keep their cars running. So for now, my only goals are to keep stepping my game up, having fun and helping out all the people who helped get me into the sport.

Carlos Diaz aka Chachi

Born with a steering wheel in his hand, Charles would only begin to realize his passion in 1993 by modifying his little 4 cyl Suzuki Swift. The seed had been planted and this started a 16 old obsession to drive hard. When drag racing and autocross weren't enough, especially after years of watching the drift scene in Japan through old Option VHS tapes, Charles jumped at the chance to drift locally (and legally) in Englishtown.

Fast forward 6 years later and he is still at it with his trusty 240SX. Prior to drifting, his need for adrenaline was fueled by playing in a hardcore band, snowboarding and skateboarding which inspired him to choose the name Drift Brigade for the team. When he became jaded with those sports, he concentrated on becoming a better driver. While longing for some tandem track action, he is currently enjoying the demo scene with Drift Brigade. In the meantime, with the help of his friends, he will build up his car to be competetive once more. Steer clear of this crazy Colombian!

“Civi” Bryan Cvitanov

I was born into a family of mechanics in Sacramento California, building cars and racing has been in my blood so it was only natural for me to take the same path. Once I turned 16 it was all over, from there I became passionately obsessed with cars and wanted to know everything about them, how they work, and how can I make them better and faster. I have worked as a mechanic in various different shops from the time I was 18 to now working as a cost analyst at The Pep Boys, I am now 23. I was introduced to drifting when I met Matt Waldin at Import

Intelligence about 4 years ago when Tony and I were building our first Silvia and were in need of some help. From that point on it was all over. I have always been into extreme sports as my past includes inline skating and skate boarding. I have been snowboarding since I was about 10, I was also voted most likely to be in the X-games by

both my high school and my middle school, all I need is for drifting to be an event in the X-games. I have been hooked ever since. I worked my way through college itching to get out so I can join the rest of the crew road tripping and working pit for Waldin. Now that I finally have my 350Z to drive I guess watching everybody has paid off. This is my first year driving at events and will defiantly not be my last.
